The Housing Inventories interactive is a monthly feature tracking the number of houses on the market in over 20 cities in the country. Its recent re-design has given it a new dynamism. Rollovers and a subtle fade add clarity. The reader can select any and all cities to be charted. And the feverlines, originally static, are now dynamically drawn using XML. This interactive demonstrates several features that the Online Journal is moving toward—more customizable information and dynamically-generated charts.
