This piece, one of my first designs, plays on a variation of the standard button down shirt—a bib front with pleats, mandarin collar, 3/4 length sleeves with a pleat on the cuff. I have only recently begun to learn how to sew and make my own patterns, but I have an interest in fashion and a curiosity for how things are put together. After studying the construction of a garment in a store, I often try to figure out how to make it on my own.
